  • M.A. in Economics – Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium)

CAREER

  • Trade Counsellor, Bank J. van Breda, Antwerp (1994-97)
  • Joined the diplomatic service in 1997
  • After a 2 years training program in Brussels, Luxembourg and London, posted in Berlin (Attaché, 1999-2002), Pristina (Head of Office, 2002-2005), Kinshasa (Head of Political Section, 2005-2007), Bukavu (Consul General, 2007-2008)
  • Desk Officer Rwanda-Burundi (2008-2009)
  • Desk Officer DRC (2009-2011)
  • Ambassador to Ethiopia, Djibouti and the African Union (2011-2015)
  • Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone (2015-2019)
  • Director of the Diplomatic Training Program (since 2019)
